
Don Kulick, the PI and director of the OUTOFSIGHT research project, is Distinguished University Professor of Anthropology at Uppsala University. He has published on topics ranging from child language socialization to women who communicate with animals through telepathy. His books in English include Loneliness and its Opposite: Sex, Disability and the Ethics of Engagement (with Jens Rydström, 2015); A Death in the Rainforest: How a Language and a Way of Life Came to an End in Papua New Guinea (2019) and Changing Vulnerability (co-edited with Michel Naepels, 2026).
